Stopping in for a quick “hello!” I miss you guys tons. Sorry I’ve been totally lame at replying to comments. And double sorry that my posts have been Crazy Town lately. It’ll all be over soon!
P.S. If you had to guess how to spell my name (“Carly”), would you EVER guess “Carleigh?” Whaaaa? It’s clear that I’m not the only one with finals-induced mind fog. Or maybe she was just really into creative name spellings. I actually kind of like “Carleigh.” It’s so incredibleigh unique! Heh.
Okay. Well bye!

When you become famous you can change the spelling and drop your last name!

Hi there! I just found your blog via Olives ‘n Wine – loved your guest post! I always think it’s funny when people make simplistic names more complicated…my full name is Diana and I’ve gotten all sorts of spellings from Dianna to Dyana to Deeanna…etc. What’s in a name anyway?

thats hilarious, that person must have a weird spelled name, because who else would think of that!?!?

Hi Carleigh!! Lol that’s ridiculous. I’ve had my name shortened to Amy before, but no one has ever gone to the trouble of complicating me name even more. Maybe she needed more coffee…

Seriously? Who would spell it that way?!? Although I did have a classmate in high school whose name was spelled “Ashleigh.” I always found that strange.

Lol. I ordered Starbucks at school one time and someone wrote “Laeryn” on my cup. I was in awe at how creative people think my mother was when she named me!

Haha! My husband’s likes to tell baristas that his name is “Batman” because he feels all manly when they call out “I’ve got a grande mocha for Batman” and everyone turns to see who is going to claim it.
I definitely wouldn’t have thought of “Carleigh” as a first option for how to spell your name. Though I do know a girl who’s name is spelled Carlee which is cute too. Anyway, visiting from your guest post on Olives ‘n Wine and thought I’d say hi!

Lol too funny! Better than one coffee place I go to where the guy was like why aren’t you smiling? And then proceeded to write on the top of my coffee cup ‘don’t forget to smile ‘ with a huge smiley face. I was like I just want my chai in peace!

My name is Angelika (with a hard “g” – my German mother was clearly high when I was born) and once at a restaurant I put my name on the waiting list and even SPELLED it for the hostess. Well cue 45 minutes later when we still aren’t seated and I go up and she said, “Well we called your name 20 mintues ago ANGELA and you didn’t answer.” Uh…because my name isn’t ANGELA? WTF? So now I just leave an alias on waiting lists…usually Mary of Jane. I just have to remember which one I’ve used.
