Happy anniversary to my sweet, loving, supportive main man. 4 years ago today, we decided to make our relationship status “official” after just a few weeks of knowing one another.  Since then, I’ve only felt more and more lucky to have him in my life!  Jake really does balance me out.

When I’m neurotic, he’s calm.  Jake always knows how to relax me.  Meaning he’s learned enough to get out of my hair when I’m in one of my “moods.”  Smart man.

When I’m critical, he’s loving.  I’m a virgo.  I’m critical of everyone, especially myself.  Jake is the complete antithesis of this.  He sees the best in everyone.  Seriously.  He’s the guy who’s extra nice to customer service people when something goes wrong.  I’m the one screaming through the phone that they need to learn how to to their jobs.

When I’m a planner, he goes with the flow. Okay, this one kind of drives me crazy, but I love him for it anyway.  I like to plan every single little detail of every single thing.  Jake likes to just let things fall into place.  He’s taught me that… you guessed it: things usually fall into place.

There is so much more that I could say about Jake, but instead, I’m treating you guys to four years of pictures.

(And please, feel free to laugh at Jake’s Backstreet Boy earrings.  I thought they were hot at the time, but I’m so glad we’re over that phase.)
